Link to RF/Coax

Link To RF/Coax is the command used to link a fiber node to a coaxial node and Link to Strand is used to link a fiber feature to a strand, direct buried underground or duct feature. Logically connecting a fiber node to a coaxial node offers the user the ability to trace a circuit from Bentley Inside Plant to the customers associated with a coaxial tap in the Bentley Coax model.

Connect a Fiber Node to an RF Node

  1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Fiber Tab select Link to RF/Coax:

  2. Select the fiber node to be connected followed by the coaxial node. If the device names do not match, the following dialog displays for you to pick a logical name to be applied for the association.

  3. The name selected is the device name being used for the fiber node and RF node association in the database. The database tables update to reflect the device name for connectivity to each other.
  4. Select OK after selecting a name.
